Believed to be the farmer and soldier who served in the Army as a Lt 12 Jan 1804, Capt 26 Nov 1812. Served in Peninsular War 1810-1813 and Apr 1814 in the Royal Waggon Train. Present at Busaco, Badajoz and Toulouse. awarded the Peninsular (or Military General Service) medal. Also a Justice of the Peace.
